I’ve spent the last 20 years working in technology in London, Silicon Valley and now Dublin. I am now CTO at Algolia. Prior to this, I lead Stripe’s EMEA Payments product & engineering teams and acted as Engineer Lead for the fast growing Dublin site. I still advise investors, founders and startups and sit on the Board of Manna Aero, an Irish drone delivery company.

Prior to Stripe, I was the Dublin Site Lead and VP Engineering @ Zalando, Europe’s largest online fashion retailer. My team of 125+ engineers built critical infrastructure, algorithms and experiences for 35 million customers in 17 countries like personalized search, browsing and recommendations. Over 7 years at Google, I built and led teams working on strategy, operations, big data and machine learning. The highlight was the 3 years I spent in Silicon Valley working at Google X launching Wing, a “moonshot” involving autonomous drones that deliver food.

Prior to Google, I was a serial entrepreneur, founding 3 startups in 10 years, the most successful being Masabi which now processes > $1bn+ in train tickets per year. I have a degree in Computer Science from Cambridge University.
